 4 years ago, Shock It Up was created in the midst of COVID! If there was anything that was remotely positive about the pandemic, it was we all started to realize that we need to look inward to see what the body really needs. What we focused on was Nitric Oxide.
Nitric Oxide (NO) is naturally made in the endothelium (blood vessel walls). One of the most essential functions of NO is its crucial effect on cardiovascular health. NO helps support the relaxation of blood vessels allowing them to dilate and expand, promoting healthy blood pressure, increased circulation and allowing oxygen to flow more freely to the cells.
We also found that after age 40 your circulation decreases compared to when we are younger. Clinical studies found that by age 40, men may produce 50% less NO than in their 20s. By age 50, women may produce 35% less NO then in their 20s. Shock It Up was specifically designed to deal with this problem.
After extensive research and reviewing medical studies on Nitric Oxide and all the complex bio-chemical processes associated with its production, the founder connected with and consulted with doctors, medical researchers, naturopaths, and any other health experts to increase our knowledge of Nitric Oxide. The goal was to create a formula that used clinically proven ingredients critical to NO production, while making sure that for over 40 those ingredients were in appropriate dosage to produce and maintain “that spark”.
As we looked at the nitric oxide marketplace, we discovered that nitric oxide was sold and marketed to promote superior athletic performance or for body builders looking to enhance their strength training regimen. We wanted a product for those who are to benefit from nitric oxide not to lift heavy, compete, or perform like they did 20 years ago. Instead they just want to be able to have hobbies , walk dogs, or go on adventure traveling with their partner. In short, a “shock of wellness” and vitality that increased nitric oxide creates.
Our approach was simple if hundreds of studies had validated that the nitric oxide mechanism increased blood flow by maintaining and increasing vasodilation, then any formula would require using the clinically proven ingredients that spark nitric oxide. If you produce nitric oxide, the science tells you that more blood flow creates more vitality in both physical and sexual health. We created and designed Shock It Up as a product to ignite that necessary nitric oxide “spark” which repeated clinical studies have shown was a key factor to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. But we wanted more than just a product that produced nitric oxide. We wanted to add again clinically proven ingredients like the amino acid Taurine and Pomegranate which have been shown to provide other health benefits, when combining these with our nitric oxide ingredients resulting in a unique nitric oxide blend which we named Shock It Up.
For all these reasons we created and designed Shock It Up as a product to ignite that needed “spark” to maintain and promote the health benefits flowing from nitric oxide supplementation.
